Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011

I’m not a fan of Victoria’s Secret. Maybe that’s the reason I haven’t checked out their past shows, which are done every year… until now.

Here are the two best performances I like during the show. The first one caught my attention from one of my friend’s FB posts. Maroon 5 singing “Moves like jagger,” where VS showed their aquatic angels collection. Love the part where Adam Levine joins his girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, on the catwalk and gives the model a kiss on the cheek.

Next one is Nicki Minaj performing her hit “Super bass,” accompanied by her back up dancers together with the gorgeous models - with their colorful lingerie.

Kudos to the show’s organizers, who picked two of the hit songs today and combining it with their cool and fabulous collection for the year. Enjoy! :)

Swak! hehehe).

Kuha mo?

"Dear KC Concepcion,

Been there. Done that.

Love, Carmina Villaroel"

Wait, there's more!

On the other hand, may mga naawa naman kay Piolo at bumanat:

Christmas is giving

My friend, Orange and I, met earlier to buy some books and some school supplies. We sent it to Miss N for one of her Pens of Hope projects.

It all started when Orange and I had a chance to talk about one of Miss N’s posts, where we could send books to the children of Northern Samar. I did not hesitate to say yes on the idea of sharing some blessings, even if my funds are short at the moment. I believe that God is always there to provide. :)

We made it a point to send the materials today via courier since the person who would deliver the stuff would leave Dec. 9, and all the books should be in come Dec. 5. But after reading the other posts, we could still send our blessings – pens and pencils in particular - to the address below:

PENS OF HOPE
P.O. Box 16
Post Office, Bgy. Dalakit,
Catarman Northern Samar
6400

“Pens of Hope does NOT accept money and is not affiliated with any political or religious group. This is also pure voluntary work and is free from any economical motive and interest. At the moment, they are collecting storybooks for Grade school pupils. Again, the books should be sent until Dec. 5 due to a tight schedule. You could contact Miss N thru her blog for more information.

It is not too late to give someone a light of hope for the future, since we always say every day is Christmas day.

For Miss N, thank you for making this possible. For Orange, thank you for sharing this experience.

A good way to start this month :)

KC tells her story

One of the most awaited segment of 'The Buzz' yesterday was when Boy Abunda talked to KC Concepcion about her relationship with Piolo Pascual. She cried during the interview, pouring her heart out trying to explain some points she could not say directly.

Things for sure: KC said it's over and PJ (Piolo) knows exactly the reason why they broke up; She said she gave him 8 chances for their connection to work, thus, she just want some things from PJ... things that a girl would like to have on a relationship. Unfortunately, the latter could not give it to her; She broke her silence because it would give her a peace of mind.

Some felt for KC. Some got their confirmation. The network won. 'Guess we all know how to read between the lines.

And I begin to write

I just finished watching “Finding Forrester” which starred Sean Connery as William Forrester, a famous reclusive author, until he met Jamal Wallace. The movie reminded me of how much I want to write but did not have enough guts – yes, not time – to start what I really love doing.

forrester

I was once a managing editor of a school paper and I believe I was chosen because of how I “managed” and not on the way I write. Later that I found out from one of my journalism teachers that they also appreciate my articles and that I also have my own way for writing. I’m not sure what my own way of writing is so I stop, which I should not have done…

Then I remembered a scene from “Sister Act 2” where Whoopi Goldberg said one morning when you wake up and you can’t think of anything but writing, then you’re a writer. There were those days that I really want to write, then again, something inside stops me. But not this time.

I want to write about anything. I want to say what goes on inside my head and share my thoughts and the things I have learned all this time. Most importantly, I want to lose that fear – fear from bad criticisms, rejection. I want to feel free and appreciate life as it is.

I welcome feedback and suggestions on how I could improve, and I will do my best to feature great stories here in this blog. Enjoy.
